Shadow Glen
Children’s Closets
This renovated home on the Shadow Glen golf course needed two small walk-in closets that would grow with their young daughters and maximize space as their needs changed.
The top design requests were:
Add drawers
Adjustable shelving
Space for oversized items
This two-closet project was designed from the start with adjustability at its core — configurable shelving, flexible hanging zones, and layouts that can evolve from toddler to teen without a full reinstall. The upgraded closet designs included a hybrid between floor mounted drawer sections and wall-hung sections elsewhere, shelving that can be removed as clothing increases in length, and a small countertop vanity area. The units are a neutral Morning Dew color with upgraded drawer fronts in Duke. A mix of hardware finishes matches the existing black hardware throughout the house with a pop of gold in the contemporary drawer pulls. This is an example of a practical, forward-thinking approach to kids' storage that parents consistently tell us they wish they'd done sooner.
